In a pilot project together with Badenova, the largest energy supply company in southern Baden (Freiburg area), a new function of energy management was implemented and tested for solar PV systems with battery storage.
The goal was a schedule-based regulation of the grid connection point of several customers of Badenova in order to reduce the network utilization in times of high consumption peaks. For this purpose, a solution was created with which the network operator can load individual schedules with specified performance values onto the energy management system, so that the regulation of the grid connection output takes place in the internal consumption mode of the inverters.
Thanks to the intelligent regulation, grid capacity is available for further renewable energies without having to expand the power grid.
