You will develop algorithms that make industrial and commercial energy systems smarter, more sustainable, and more profitable. As a Data Scientist at coneva, you work at the intersection of data analysis, mathematical optimization, and energy markets – directly shaping our Flex product, which enables automated trading on energy markets and intelligent control of distributed energy resources.

Your Responsibilities
- Development of our Flex product within an agile, international team
- Building and validating forecasting models for site-level energy demand
- Designing, implementing, and refining mathematical optimization models
- Modelling and simulating complex industrial and commercial energy systems
- Applying advanced statistical methods (time series analysis, regression)
- Ensuring quality and reliability through documentation and testing
- Close collaboration with Sales in analyzing customer requirements
What You Bring
- Degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or energy systems
- Proven experience in convex optimization and MILP
- Strong Python: Jupyter, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, cvxpy
- In-depth knowledge of electricity markets, spot market trading in Germany
- Fluency in English (C1) – German is a plus
- Bonus: Familiarity with battery storage, EV chargers, PV systems
