With the connection of their respective backends, coneva and SAP are working on the interoperability of their systems: All e-mobility stakeholders can now interact smoothly with each other, regardless of the charging station manufacturer – from energy management to billing.

The successful integration of coneva’s backend system for CPO services with the SAP E-Mobility solution enables B2B customers to connect their existing or planned e-charging infrastructure with coneva’s energy management services and the SAP E-Mobility solution, e.g. in terms of employee-specific billing processes. From the vehicle to the wallbox, charging and energy management to higher-level CPO and MSP backends can communicate smoothly with each other regardless of the manufacturer of the charging infrastructure (within the framework of OCPP 1.6) – thanks to uniform standards as well as professionally developed interfaces. For this purpose, SAP also offers a certification program for charging station manufacturers.

coneva Smart Box: central hub for intelligent charging management

The coneva charging solution for vehicle fleets enables intelligent energy management and efficient administrative processes in an ecosystem. The basis is the coneva Smart Box as a central hub for intelligent charging management with uniform standards (OCPP) and self-developed interfaces. In terms of CPO services, coneva is continuously driving the expansion of compatibility.

Use Cases: semi-public and commercial EV charging

The solution increases the utilization of semi-public charging points and optimizes their use. This is the case, for example, for company car fleets with charging points at the site or branches, as well as for drivers charging at home, or for operators of commercial charging points such as car dealerships. In these scenarios, complex billing processes play a crucial role, which can be mapped end-to-end along the value chain by the solutions from coneva and SAP.

“Our customers benefit from the integration of coneva and SAP products. With the coneva Smart Box, we offer a product that functions independently of manufacturers, is extremely flexible and works in a connected manner. In addition, it is a scalable system that adapts to customer requirements and thus offers full investment security,” explains Jochen Schneider, Managing Director of coneva.

coneva wants to connect private and commercial energy consumers and producers. In addition to solutions for e-charging infrastructure, including dynamic load management, a holistic approach can be implemented in the long term with energy monitoring and management.
